Hello OnCue Enthusiasts!
Big changes are in store for 2022. We are upgrading to a new licensing system, in anticipation of the release of OnCue version 4. This will solve a lot of problems that both ourselves and users like yourself have with the current system, which is growing outdated.
What does this mean to you?
First, there will be an update to OnCue 3 for licensing (no other changes). It is very important that you do this update and follow the instructions, as your current license codes will be changing. We will give you plenty of time to do this, but you must make the change as we phase out the old licensing system.
Secondly, this year will bring the new version of OnCue. Our philosophy that has driven the development of OnCue 4 has been to keep the software as familiar as possible. It has all of the things we all love about OnCue 3 and, while there are a lot of new features and efficiency improvements to explore, the jump to OnCue 4 will feel intuitive and seamless (and exciting), we’re not reinventing the wheel, just improving it.
Once released, OnCue 4 will be a regular upgrade that your subscription entitles you to with no increase in cost at this time. As it is an entirely new program and not merely an update to OnCue 3, it will be a separate installation. You will still be able to run OnCue 3 but know that we will not be supporting it forever. No one will be forced to make the switch in the middle of trial—but the potential for issues will increase as operating systems and technology continue to evolve.
In the meantime, we ask for your patience. We’ll send out an email when we are getting close to the release of OnCue 4 and all that it entails.
We are really excited about the new version, and we know you will be too!
